Brian O' Leary Lic Ac Dip ESS MTCMCI MSSI Acupuncturist / Shiatsu Practitioner
Brian is a graduate of the 3 year professional practitioner course of the European School of Shiatsu, Cork branch. His initial interest in Shiatsu came from receiving Shiatsu for injury recovery and to aid sports performance. So impressed was he with how helpful Shiatsu was to his health that Brian decided to train professionally in 2005.
In 2008 Brian qualified as a professional practitioner of Shiatsu and seeing the rising demand for Shiatsu, he became one of the founders of the Cork Shiatsu Clinic.
Also that year, Brian started professional acupuncture training at the College of Medical Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shannon Ireland. Acknowledging his experience from his Shiatsu training and practice, Brian earned an unprecedented exemption at the college, passing both the first and second year exams in his first year.
In 2010 Brian Graduated and completed his Clinical practice at the Clonmel Acupuncture Centre. He gained wide experience at the clinic which specialises in Fertility and Back pain. Brian has also worked with a lot of pregnancy related conditions and developed an interest in mental health, sports injuries, respiratory conditions and stress, though he is happy working with all conditions.
Since 2013 Brian has worked in The Anchor Treatment Centre. There he is part of a muti-disciplinary team treating those suffering addiction.
He practices acupuncture alongside shiatsu combining both to make his treatments even more beneficial.
His extensive knowledge of eastern philosophies, medicine and practice began in 2001 when he began training with the Master Ding Academy of Tai Chi Chaun. He became a qualified instructor of the academy in 2005.
Brian is a member of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Council of Ireland and the Shiatsu society of Ireland. Click logos on right for more...
